Cheesie camera angles

What is with this new cheesie angle they REPEATEDLY have been showing thoughout this whole show. The camera guy thought it would be clever to set up a little mally compact and reflect the models in it for a shot right before they show them in a close-up. And he is doing it EVERY TIME - for every model.
