I have a dentist phobia anyway and no pain tolerance for such and evasive procedure.

Can one get teeth straightened with crowns? I suppose I could google that, and now that I thought about it, I will, but would I love to hear people's experiences.

A good friend of mine had Invisilign (sp?) done when she was in her 60s because her teeth were shifting or something. It took about 18 months but was successful.

@monicakm I have had 2 abdominal surgeries, several days in the hospital. Root canal, I don't even remember other than that it was unpleasant. I don't enjoy dental work. Dentists are working on your mouth and they expect you to answer questions. Hate that. My best experience was with the most recent dental practice that I think are financial crooks. It's a shame. But I can't handle that they have no idea what to charge. They first charged me $75 as a "copay" for something that my insurance says no copay or charge. I told them to look into it, and they sent me a bill for $597.40. I sent them a nice letter explaining why what they were doing was wrong, and they responded that they would adjust my account. So it was nothing or $75 or $597.40. And they wanted to do an extraction and an implant with a guy who took no insurance. No, can't go back there. Shame because I liked the 2 dentists that I saw and the hygienist. And who likes their dentist. Need to find someone else.

Thanks @kaydee50 for sharing that. Do you happen to know if your friend had crowns? I wonder if that is an issue. I have to see if my insurance covers invisalign. They do cover orthodontics, but I know there was a time insurance coverage was different for invisalign and orthodontics. Maybe that has changed.

I know someone who used Invisalign and they were happy with the results. But she has to wear a retainer (forever) now to keep her teeth from going crooked again. Something to think about.

Christie Tiegen looks like she's had cheek implants. They're very noticeable. Any implant can slide or migrate. It's such high maintenance.

@NYCLatinaMe I had invisilign. It worked very well. There may be an issue with the crowns tho - please check with a few dentists/orthodontists to see. They had me wait to change my large fillings to crowns because they thought it would interfere. In retrospect it probably was not wise for me to wait but you really never know how things might have played out and invisign was necessary for me as my teeth were on the move! I am happy with how invisilign worked. You do need to wear retainers at night tho until the end of time, just fyi!

She had that procedure where they remove your buccal fat.

Can't stand her.
