Check Your HSN Purchases Last 30 Days

[ Edited ]

I noticed today lots of HSN new markdowns. I just got a benefit of sale credit for a Skinn item I ordered 28 days ago, now $10 less. And it was already sale priced when I ordered it.  I did a chat online and got my credit within a minute, well worth it !!

One of the many reasons I hope QVC and HSN do not "merge."  Never had a problem getting the reduced price on an item from HSN.  I understand now QVC requires certain criteria in order to be eligible for the lower price.

My Skinn item is aready back to regular price, so glad I noticed it yesterday. I always keep my HSN purchases in Faves for at least 30 days and check it daily for price changes

HSN has always been good about crediting my account when an amount is reduced,

I did this with a QVC purchase yesterday.  I purchased a pair of jeans recently which were just delivered on Thursday.  I checked and they're $6.00 cheaper now. The CSA credited my $6.00 back to my card.  FYI, though, they do not refund any adjustments on the overpayment of sales tax.

HSN does !!! One reason I stopped buying from Q long ago, they are skimpy with things like that.

I was surprised, @Shelbelle.  I wasn't trying to be difficult but I couldn't get a straight answer from the CSA on what happens to all of the overpaid taxes so I asked for a supervisor.  Her answer didn't make sense either.  She said the taxes go straight to the customer's state. I know that, but does it happen immediately upon the transaction thru the way the software is configured (I doubt that), or does QVC pay it to the states monthly or quarterly?  If monthly or quarterly, QVC still has my excess sitting somewhere.  On my purchase it's not much, but what if someone bought a piece of high priced jewelry or another high ticket item?  It's not right, IMO.

Then you would be as we say, S--T out of luck !!!!

up until 2018 Q was about the only internet buying site I ever paid tax on, not on ebay, amazon, HSN, JTV or SHQ, then all of a sudden that all changed. Even pay tax on Q on the shipping fee.
