Chanel makeup

I have tried most every brand to minimize my red dry, mature skin with broken capallaries. The Chanel beauty rep said if I used their illuminating base and Perfection luminere makeup I would get the coverage and minimize any red. I've tried Bobbi brown stick makeup and Laura Mercier smooth creme makeup and they are just ok in covering the red. It it expensive had anyone tried Chanel makeup. She also recommended lip shine in "Boy" a nude pink would like to know if anyone has tried any of these before I make the investment. Thanks in advance
