My mother wore Beautiful.  She gifted it one year to my daughter.  I love the way it smells, however, it doesn't smell good on me.  I wear the dusting powder and get the same wonderful scent.  AHHHH memories of my mom. It is funny how a scent can't evoke thoughts of times past.

I remember my Sister in Law wearing this perfume on her Wedding Day. She wore it for several years after as well, and it always smelled so good on her. She then moved onto Pleasures, which to me was headache inducing! lol! Beautiful is a really nice fragrance, I think!

A dear friend of mine wore Pleasures and it smelled soooo good on her.  Decided to give it a try and, like you, had a raging headache within minutes.  Was so disappointed, but kept enjoying it on my gal pal.

Blast from the past! My granny wore Youth Dew.  Now I need to go to the counter and smell it

I went into a cosmetics store at the outlet a while back that has all 

Estee Lauder brands and smelled some of the ones I used to wear and loved and they gagged me.  I don't know if they changed or more likely I have changed.  I could not believe I wore some of them and loved them.  The only one I like now is Modern Muse.  When I went through menopause my smell changed along with my taste buds.

@chiclet  I used to wear Youth Dew in my earlly life because my mother had worn it for years.  It grew unlikeable to my sinuses.  I wore White Linen and now just a whiff of that provokes an asthma attack.  I think it might be us that changed.  Some colognes I can tolerate and others I cannot.  I go in the opposite end of the department stores from the colognes.  My favorite dept store has their handbags near the cosmetics.  I may never get to see them again.
