I am totally throwing my hands up with WEN after 7 years of it. I guess it is time to try something else. Has anyone tried Carol's Daughter products? I am trying the shampoo/conditioner, shower milk and dry oil spray. the "other" shopping venue has a TSV on her products today.

Re: Carol's Daughter........

My BFF swears by the Monoi (sp?) products in that line. She used to use WEN also.

What was it that you didn't like about WEN that took 7 years to figure out?

I love the Monoi Serum and heat protectant spray and I am a WEN girl, but these two products are phenomenal!

Re: Carol's Daughter........

I tried the shampoo and conditioner a while back, but all I recall is that the packaging drove me nuts. I had bought them locally, so I ended up returning them. I guess the formulas were not special enough for me to put up with the inconvenience.

But if you really like them, it's probably worth it.

Re: Carol's Daughter........

Perfect timing! I just ordered a few items off the website for my daughter (literally 2 hours ago). I use Wen exclusively, but I find the styling products do not work for her curly hair. I ended up ordering the olive oil infusion kit, the mimosa hair honey, and the marula curl therapy.

Her curls are so much better with Wen than without, but she gets frizzy fairly quickly, so she can never wear her hair down, or else it ends up a frizzy mess within a few hours. Even though I will keep using Wen cc on her, i'm looking for ancillary products that will give her tame, shiny, frizz free curls.

Please come back an post your reviews once you've tried the products.

Target offers a limited number of products. Was just there today and a few were on clearance. Wonder if the line isn't doing well there?

Re: Carol's Daughter........

I was loving the CD Monoi line, at first I felt like my hair was improving over other products I had been using. But it started drying out my hair and seemed to be causing breakage over time, so I switched to Wen and have been using it since June with much improved hair.

It's worth a shot if you want to try something new, but I am no longer a believer in the CD Monoi line. I do still love their Monoi Anti-Breakage spray though, it really detangles as advertised, that product I would use again (though I don't need it anymore while using Wen).

I use the Monoi shampoo and the Monoi anti brekage spray been using both for a few years and it does what it says less breakage. I hate hate hate the Monoi conditioner left my hair a tangled mess. I also use her hair smoothers they work very well.

Re: Carol's Daughter........

I used WEN for many years and one day decided to try Carol's Daughter's monoi line. Maybe it was the contrast to WEN but I found my hair was much drier than I expected. Something in the ingredients did not agree with me because it also made my scalp i t c h terribly. I gave the shampoo and conditioner to a friend's mom (who loved them). I returned to WEN and haven't changed again -- though I never say never. I did keep the monoi styling treatment oil and liked it very much.

Re: Carol's Daughter........

Another suggestion, you haven't actually said why you want to try something new (unless I missed it), but every time I think I need to try something else besides Wen (since switching 9 months ago), I come running back to it. Trying anything else makes me realize how much better Wen does work for my picky hair.

Do what you want with your hair, use Wen or don't, just saying, that because it's actually true with a lot of things. I get bored and think something isn't working well for me, until I try something else, then I realize how much better something really is working.

They really push us to "just try..." everything on the Q... and the H, I get sold way too many times and regret it later!
