Cardboard cases for high-end cosmetics. Thoughts?

I've noticed a trend in some of the higher end cosmetics of using cardboard packaging for makeup, such as in Benefit, Too Faced, and the recent Tarte shadows in the TSV. It's obviously a cost cutting measure for the manufacturer versus using plastic cases, but does it bother any of you like it does me? When I pay $20+ for a product, I want something more substantial than pressed paper in my purse.
