I haven't heard of Matrixyl being used in hair products.  I thought it was strictly used in anti-aging products.

Maybe minoxidil?? That needs to be washed off before applying hair coloring.

Oh, Minoxidil.  I did use that for a short time.  I didin't wash it out before coloring and didn't have a problem with that.  I just couldn't stand the itch.  It was a weird itch that seemed to be under the skin and I couldn't seem to find it.

I've used minoxidil 5% and my hair is highlighted.  Didn't affect the color at all but I wouldn't use it right before coloring or until after your first shampoo after it's colored (which is usually at least 2 days after coloring).

Thanks everyone. I did mean minoxidil. Didn't know if it would change the color.

Yes, I used the 5% foam for almost 2 years. My hair is colored every 6 weeks. Never affected the color except the roots came in faster.
