I am so happy these things work for you but if they do you are not a true chronic insomnia...........almost nothing works for us........you must have some stress or it is hard for you to relax...........true chronic insomnia people have to take sleeping pills to sleep or an antidepressant that will knock them out.
That's not true. You don't need RX drugs for "true chronic insomnia." You shouldn't try to assume who has "true insomnia" or who doesn't. But if you believe only a pill will work then that'll probably be true. Power of negative or positive belief is strong.

Hi Ribbons, Thanks for your response. I should've been more specific by saying that though this works for me, it may, of course, not work for everyone. I just wanted to offer some hope for someone like me...diagnosed and treated for 20+ years with a chronic sleep disorder. I went through it all: sleep studies, sleep specialists, sleep "treatments", prescription drugs of all kinds (you name it, I took it) and nothing worked for me. Melatonin worked temporarily, but then stopped in a few weeks.
My specific diagnosis is: DSPD (Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder, 327.31). It is a Circadian Rhythm Disorder. Like all of us with chronic insomnia sleep disorders, I was desperate to try anything. When Montmorency and Almond Butter was suggested, I thought, "oh sure, here's another one!" I literally rolled my eyes and was dubious; I was sure it wouldn't work. To my complete and utter surprise, it does work for me.
Chronic insomnia is h e l l. So I say for anyone and everyone suffering with it, just keep trying things. We're all different and for some, drug therapy works wonderfully. I support that wholeheartedly.
Keep well and God Bless...

I can relate, I was has 46 and started having sleep issues,it was like I just could not fall asleep anymore, After many trips to the emergency room and many doctors, I accepted the fact it was perimenapause, check your FSH levels, take a sleep aid!

I struggle with insomnia and have had it for years (still have problems) but I've discovered that a sleep eye mask helps me fall asleep and stay asleep simply by blocking out all light. Studies show that even light from a digital alarm clock is enough to throw off the circadian cycle.
It still takes time for my mind to calm down enough to fall asleep and menopause seems determine to make my whole body uncomfortable and unfortunately for me, all sleep aids make me too groggy but blocking out all light really does help.
Now to try out the cherry juice and almond butter.

I swear by Rescue Sleep. It's homeopathic.......don't know how it works.....but it helps turn off the racing mind. You can get it on Amazon or at Whole Foods. I use the tabs.
Good luck!
