Can TT be too drying?

Hi ladies! I LOVE my teatree oil and cc. I was doing my hair this am and noticed a bit of dandruff!!!! I couldn't believe it! I have oil in right now, to help solve the issue, but my question is, I use tt every cleanse on scalp and all the others on ends. Am I overdoing the teatree? My hair grows like crazy, but don't want dandruffSmiley Sad thanks!!!
