To the OP---I'm with you, they sre so dang cute. It was adorable seeing the little goats running around and hearing the cute little "Baa Baa's"  in the background during the presentations.   This is probably a dumb question but how do the guys travel with all those little goats?

They use local goats @KKJ .

One of those baby goats did their biz all over show hosts Erin Newburg's pretty red blouse on Evine, I could never hold one after seeing that, but she handled it like a pro!!

@Shelbelle Exactly the reason why I don't like the country or farms.  I'm a city girl. YUCK!

Re: Can I just get a baby goat?

I LOVE goats in general but the babies make me squeal---there is a herd of goats up the street from me, that can be rented to clean up the overgrown bush---we are surrounded by blackberrys and would love to rent them for a few days or weeks to clear our 2 1/2 acres-------they are the ONLY reason to watch the guys with the goatmilk line, imo!

Re: Can I just get a baby goat?

I agree they are adorable!

Homes near me in the more rural areas often have large properties and the roads are very winding.  Once I happened to be driving on one of these rural roads close to home with a friend and we came upon three adorable animals....a goat, lamb & sheepdog all lined up next to a mailbox.  They were all around the same size and just were standing  like they were waiting for mail delivery staring at any cars passing.

I had to stop the car & greet them they were so cute! Smiley Happy Wish I had taken a photo!!

In Josh's book about their start as country farmer's, he tells the story about taking goats to a show to sell their products. The goats had diarhea and made a mess all over the car. The guys reeked. It was funny reading how they had to manage that and do their show. They don't use their own goats now.  If you can, get the book. It is a great story and a wonderful read.

I too am a city gal, but wouldn't mind spending a weekend on a farm, as long as I had grubbies and Wellies to wear.

Re: Can I just get a baby goat?

The sad thing about baby goats is that they grow up to be ornery, stinky adult goats that will eat all your plants.  My neighbor had a couple, they moved, thank goodness.

Re: Can I just get a baby goat?

@depglass  The only goats that stink are the males. It is only fair to say that goats belong on a farm not in a backyard.

They made wonderful pets for our sons. After our son got back from the Navy, they raised goats and our grandchildren loved them. We always had milk goats.

@VenturaHighway @depglass  I agree with both of you as both of you speak truths.  I completely agree that if one is going to use them as some kind of exotic pet, that they should live on a rural property so that the goats can be in an environment which suits them better.
