Re: Campanelli FreshFace towel - wow!! Rave

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I have a set of  make up removing towels, different name. Someone told me to be careful around your lashes because it had removed some of her bottome lashes. Well, too late! I had noticed the same thing. Just want to say, watch it!

I have used plain old muslin cloths (Liz earle are the cheapest) for years  all around my eyes even to remove my mascara and eye makeup and never had any lashes come out. I've also used Josie Maran's two-sided cloth (one side muslin the other microfiber) and never had that issue either and my lashes come out fairly easily normally!  You must be srcubbing pretty hard to tear out lashes. A towel should always be used gently on your skin and around your eyes, never scrubbing with it.

@Mrsq2022 I got notification that you had posted on this thread to me but I don't see a post from you? Weird?

@HappyDaze I know, I'm always careful. That's what I thought was so great about these cloths-you only need a light touch. I still use them once a week but I'm making sure I never get close to the lash line. I've used Liz Earle forever. Aren't they nice?

Thanks for the recommendation, OP!  I had seen these types of cloths before and wondered about them.  With the rave reviews here I just submitted an order for the five pack in paisley.  The less chemicals and fuss, the better.

@HappyDaze I am certain that I wrote this already but maybe I did so in the wrong thread?  It isn't that exciting lol, but what I wanted to say is that I hate for you to test the Julep instead of gift it, but it was such a pleasant surprise for me that I almost hope that you decide to give it a shot.  It is pale, not too sheer and does read as a true mauve on me.  Not a bright white-cast mauve like the ones I wore in the 80s but a bit more subtle...it is so pretty and it lasts a long time in me.  I'm probably going to end up ordering another kit just for the lip products and towel unless I find another set with this Julep in it.  I'd never thought twice about Julep lip balms and was far more excited about the Perricone lipgloss when I purchased this kit, but it's he Julep I reach for every day....I really hope that you like it!

Re: Campanelli FreshFace towel - wow!! Rave

@Mrsq2022 @rochelleS just wanted to say thanks again for the rec on this set. I think it is a great little set. I LOVE both the Perricone lipgloss and the Julep. Both look great on me, if I say so myself! Smiley Looks At Mirror Smiley Face, Emoticon

I had swatched the Perricone gloss on my hand several months ago and thought it probably wouldn't work but I've since learned that swatching on my hand never translates to my lips so I no longer rely on that. The perricone lipgloss is a perfect NATURAL color for my skintone and lips.

The Julep is very nice although darn I wish they wouldn't do that vanillay-y scent. It reminds me of Josie's lipgloss and the Doll10 lipgloss/sticks scent but, thankfully not as strong and actually dissipates (the Doll10 never did and I actually had to wipe it off because it was too much for too long). The color is very subtle but nice and it isn't too dry. I have lips that are pretty pigmented so the Julep doesn't show up as much as it probably would on others but it is nice. I will definitely use it.

I know I will use the towel but I am saving the Algenist and the IT to gift. The sponge I will use too.

You know what would have been really cool though?? If QVC would have included a 10% off coupon to purchase any of the products in the kit or perhaps a free shipping code? Something? That is what Sephora does with their kits and it is a great idea.

Anyway, thanks again ladies! Great gift idea and well worth the price!

@HappyDaze I'm just tickled reading your comments about this kit. It's truly a sweetheart for all to enjoy. Excellent comment about about a discount coupon for future items purchased in the kit is a great idea. Hopefully the Q will figure this out one day..we can only dream, lol.

You are spot on with the Doll10 scents. Unfortunately I'd ordered a couple lip sets not realizing they're all overly scented. Made me physically ill. At least the Julep lippie is milder and quickly dissipates making it wearable for me too. My lips are pretty pigmented too yet I find this soft mauve color very doable. The Perricone gloss is fabulous. I LOVE this color too!!! Did you try the Nude Stix eye pencil? Like? My bff Loves it! She can't stop talking about it Very durable in her FL. humidity.

Seems like a little fan base is growing for this kit. It's certainly a keeper. Enjoy yours!
