My fav lipstick shade ever has been discontinued, but I have found several tubes.  I am reading unopened tubes can be frozen several years.

Your thoughts please?

Many thanks!

Is that the Clinique one that you've mentioned before that's discontinued @ECBG ?

There are too many pretty lipstick colors to wear a product several years old from a freezer.

I keep them for a very long time just stored at room temp, keep one extra at room temp, others in freezer, it wont hurt, I have done it.

When you find that perfect shade, there is nothing you won't do to get your hands on more.  I went thru this same thing with a Chanel lipgloss (174) about 20 years ago.  When I discovered it was discontinued I think Dillards only had one or two.  I bought those and kept eBay cleaned out as they popped up for sale.  I see there is one available now but that's too old.  I kept them in the fridge in a thermal lunch bag.

@ECBG don't you just hate when that happens! Grrr....I must admit I never heard of putting it in the freezer. Good to know!

@ECBG   I'm thinking the freezer may change the texture of the lipsticks. I will say a lipstick should stay OK  unopened/unused in a drawer for a few years.

Maybe try it first with a lipstick you DON'T like?

As I look around for my color, I see "new tubes" that are shown with a short white cap which looks like a white chapstick lid.

I wouldn't buy anything opened, but what is that please?

Thank you!
