Re: Calista new Perfecter...does your lcd screen go off while using?

I got the "1 inch" size, although in my opinion I consider it a "2 inch" size.

On pages 8-9 of the Owner's Manual, it states how to use the Lock function, the LCD will keep blinking until setting temperature is reached, about 3 minutes. Then press the on/off button twice within 3 seconds, temperature adjust function will be locked. A lock mark will appear on the LCD. To unlock, press same button twice and the Lock mark will disappear. To shut off hold on/off button for about 3 seconds. The display stays on until unit is shut off.

Hope this helps.

This didn't work for me. The display still turned off even though it was locked. I guess I have a defective one. I am getting another one so hopefully it will work ok. Thank you!!!

Could it be the angle you are looking at it, sideways versus straight on? I know some digital displays are difficult to read at certain angles.

The display is backlit blue and everything goes off for me. Thank you.

Is it still heating?

I'm really not sure if it's left over heat or not. It just bothers me that I can't see if it's actually on or not and I can't turn it off. I have to unplug it. Thank you.

This morning I realized it's the angle I'm looking at it makes it look like the display is going off but it's still on. The heat is still on.

UPDATE: I just got my new perfecter today. It's staying on until I turn it off, so my other one was definitely defective. Thanks again for your help!
