Calista Tools Embellish

[ Edited ]

They use hair models that have really good hair with texture, natural curl. If you got lots of texture in your hair, you can do a lot with it. Where's the stick straight, thin, limp, fine, hair.

I've got the Embellish but not the great hair of Calista hair models. So, it doesn't work like she presents it. Great hair, great results. Not so great hair, not so much.

PS: Colored and bleached hair also does well.

I noticed, too, that the original Embellish seems to be more for shorter hair styles, too.  Carolyn Gracie did a show with Maria recently and they were demo-ing the Embellish hairspray, which I think is new because I've never seen it before.  I thought I'd give it a try.  It arrived yesterday so maybe I'll give it a test run today.

I like the brush... and I use the volume hairspray... but all the other thickening products just gunk up my hair.

I purchased the Perfector at Costco last year for about $45.  I have a bob with baby fine hair.  It doesn't work well for me.  Glad I didn't pay anymore than that!  I used to use hot curling brush which worked ok.  Was expecting much better results.

I have wavy, fine, layered hair, and a lot of it! It's about three inches below my shoulders. The Perfector works great on 2nd day hair, I use Embellish only for root lift and it works for me, but again only on 2nd day hair.

I had a learning curve with both!

The Embellish doesn't work for my short hair.I use the Taya hairspray in the blue bottle to get volume on my second and third day after washing (with hairdryer)
