Does anyone know whether the Calista Airglide has any kind of a warranty?

Additionally, I've heard a description of the 4 diff temperatures on the Airlglide but no mention of the affect of the heated temperature on your hair.  I have never used a hot tool on my hair having responded to warnings about hair damage.  Could someone comment on this?

Finally, the attraction to Calista's Airglide is how quickly it lets you do curls and waves, but also that they last; while reading about some of the new airdryers often state that the curls do not last.

Some advice please,

I have two of the older model, I am sure they came with a warranty, but I don't remember how long it is.  I'd rely on the 30 day money back from the Q, if it broke before 30 days, you could send it back.  One of mine is about a year old and works perfectly, but I don't use it every day,  just once a week or so.

Re: temperatures, the higher the heat the worse the damage.  I have used mine at the max possible temp, over 400F, and not burnt my hair, because I use a good heat protectant product on my hair first.  You MUST use heat protectant, but if you do, odds are your hair will be okay.

Re: the durability of the curl, that is real.  I have used a Revlon blow-dryer and a Dyson blow dryer and round brush, and those waves don't last for me.  The Air-Glide does, for hours and hours.  I still have a decent amount of curl 9 hours after doing my hair today.  My hair is very fine and VERY straight, it resists curling fiercely, but this tool tames it, where no other tool I have ever bought does.  I wasted a lot of money on other Calista tools, as well as other brands of tools, like the Beachwaver, but the original product Calista Air Glide is the only one where I feel like I got my money's worth.  I bought a second one so I will hopefully never be without one.  I do wish Maria would make one with a smaller barrel, for a tighter curl, but the 1" still works pretty darned well.

@searchingfa @CamilleP   Having to blow dry my hair first is a down side for me. If I use the Revlon dryer I get a bit of curl and dry hair to then use a flat iron, wand, etc.

@Shanus   I exercise at night, then shower and wash my hair before bed, so it air dries.  Most days, I don't bother to style it at all, just brush it out in the morning, as my dogs don't care how I look when I take them to the park for a walk.  When I do need to style it, I either do a classic "bob" with a Dyson flat iron, and just flip the ends under (I love the cordlessness for ease of use.)  If I want curls, it's the Air Glide.  The fact that the default condition is "flat plates closed" means that it's super easy to turn/twist to get those spiral curls.  I do use the fan function as well, so it cools the hair as soon as it gets out from between the hot plates, that probably helps set the curls so they last.  I just cannot master holding the Dyson closed AND twisting it, it will always pop open and I'll lose the strand of hair, and have to start over again, re-cooking it, which can't be good for it.  So for me, the Calista is the superior tool.

@CamilleP   I get it since I wash my hair/bath at night too. I thought this tool was new and never shown before.

No, it's a "new and improved" version of the older model.  It's the only hot tool I've ever used that produced curls that last more than an hour in my militantly straight hair, I think it's the cool shot effect that hits the hair shaft with air blowing out the vets as soon as each section comes out from between the hot plates.  I also have a Revlon brush blowdryer, and I can get a flip under on wet hair, but since I don't dry before bed, I let it air dry, I don't need to style until the next day.   I hope, if you ordered the AirGlide, that it works for you as well as it does for me!
