My mom and gram were talking about much they miss this product. I'd love to surprise them with some.

Does anyone know who makes it?

Re: Cake mascara ?

[ Edited ]

The one that was popular 40-50 years ago was a Maybelline product.

We used to spit on it to make it thicker.............kinda disgusting when you think about it now.    However, it was also common to spit on your (hard) contact lenses to "lubricate" them...............UGH

I'm with @Desertdi on this one.... I remember spitting on my Maybelline cake mascara.  Spit was kind of a miracle worker back in the day.  eeeuuuwwww   I also remember that cake mascara dripped and clumped and smeared all over my face and can't imagine why anyone would choose to wear it - on purpose! - with so many other great mascaras out there.

I remember this mascara - it was the best!  You could really build lashes with it but it took a number of coats.  Didn't know they still make it
