I rarely wear foundation anymore so I don't feel like spending $40 or more on it. I am in fact throwing away so much makeup after not wearing it for the last year and a half. Has anyone used COVERGIRL + Olay Simply Ageless Wrinkle Defying Foundation? It's gotten pretty good reviews. I am 64 and with combination skin. TIA

@KCDiva I applaud you for giving up on make-up. For me, I've noticed less is more. I don't expect miracles and primarily rely on sleep, good diet, exercise, and stress release as my best cosmetic. There are posters who have had regimes in place for years and they feel it has been beneficial for them. I respect them for their dedication and knowledge.
At this point, for me, I invest little money in face products. A skilled surgeon who specializes in a natural-looking face lift would make a difference...but it is just not my priority. I keep my program sparse, healthy, and inexpensive (and cruelty-free). If these products make you feel better about yourself, why not give it a try. I just would not hold out for major expectations in a jar.

I tried it many years ago and didn't like it. If I remember correctly it kinda pilled on my face. Didn't go on smooth and became clumpy. Maybe it's changed by now.

Yes, I tried the CG/Olay compact foundation a few years ago. It was too 'greasy' for my oily skin. I don't know how it would work on your combo skin, but it would be fabulous for someone with dry skin. (I'm 72 with a slightly sensitive, oily complexion)
I've worn CG's AquaSmooth compact foundation for at least 25 years, maybe more. Great coverage and buildable. For summer, I brush on a very thin layer of it.

@KCDiva this is a great foundation! I like the version in the pump bottle better than the compact. It rivals any $50 foundation at Nordstrom. I also bought the corresponding primer and it is superb. If its helpful to know, I am 60 with normal to slightly dry skin.

@KCDiva The best reviews for a drugstore foundation are L'Oreal Age Perfect products. For lightweight coverage, try the Age Perfect Radiant Serum Foundation...$15.99 at ULTA.
