CHOMPING AT THE BIT

[ Edited ]

Spoke to my eye doc before I left his office and no bending over, lifting anything 10 lbs. or more or reaching up. So, I'm suffering with that.

&0 here the next 2 days and can't take Molly for a walk...can't bend to get her prong collar on or pick up and bag poop.

The worst thing? No SPF or eye makeup or skincare for 3 more weeks!!! I can't touch my eyes or take a chance of getting oil cleanser near or in my eyes. I've been only going out after dinner w/ DH driving or walking w/ Molly. I can only make it for qbout 45 minutes because the anesthesia stayed with me for days...Thursday through yesterday....I think they didn't consider my weight when doing it. I did ask to be "put out" though and I definitely was unaware of anything after the O2 mask on my face.

I amy do a full face @monicakm for months after this.

I am so sorry to hear you are going thru such a difficult recovery from the eye surgery.    Have you checked in with your regular personal MD?

Hope your situation turns around quickly.     di

No eye makeup or skincare for 3 more weeks!!!

I would die!  Other than that, just take it easy between drops and let your hubby wait on you hand and foot.  You can't cook but you can ride in the car to go out to eat, right?  See, this is sounding better isn't it?  And while you're out, I'm sure you could use some retail therapy

I think you need to buy your first shirt or dress in Pantone's color of the year for 2025...it's a light chocolate mousse color Smiley Happy  I love it!

The best therapy is retail therapy. | Confession Ecard

Note to self...NO cataract surgery.

@Desertdi Feeling better today compared to last several days. It's the restrictions and drops every 4 hours for a month that's most annoying. My doc is a cataract specialist and I trust his instructions. Definitely never want to do this again.

@monicakm   Retail therapy has kept me sane...as soon as my readers came from Amazon. I've been burning up the internet with all the sales: makeup, discovered Quince for clothing, etc., Nordstrom still has sale items (a lot of BD) and cashmere. The boxes are piling up on the porch every day. Lol

I guess everyone fares differently after surgery.    My right eye cleared up right away...but the LEFT one took 3 weeks....and you better believe, I was in a PANIC.     It's all OK now....after 4 months.    (Although I DO have slightly different vision in each eye.)

Gotta remember...eyes are not idential "twins"....rather, they are SISTERS.      di

@Desertdi   I'm not worried, just bored...can't see well enough even with DH's readers to paint. Lol

For decades I've heard nothing but how easy and painless cataract surgery was.  It's a breeze they said.  It's painless they said.  Well, it wasn't for my husband and sounds like that's also not the case for you two.  In fact I'm having to make him an appt with his Dr.   He says something just isn't right.
