CHI Flat Iron Questions, Please

My daughter's flat iron just broke and I would like to get her a full size CHI for Christmas since I have heard so many positive things about the brand. Of course I missed the TSV here! I checked Amazon and was so confused! Who/What is 'By Farouk'? Is that a true CHI? Can anyone recommend a good full size model preferably with auto shut off!! TIA!!
