Re: Buzz in acne users! Help..

I had cystic acne in my teens and was on accutane, at 39 my skin is breaking out again, seems if I try a foundation I will have a chin full of pimples in two days. I use Retin A and have added simple sugars tea tree green tea scrub because tea tree is good. I am also using Argan oil as some sites this is a natural treatment for acne. I want to try the Mario Badescu spot treatment I think it is called drying lotion and everyone says it zaps pimples overnight.

Re: Buzz in acne users! Help..

I'm also in my 40s and still fight acne. I use Proactive repairing lotion (I don't use the whole regimen). My dermatologist gave me Aczone for day, and differin for night, but after 8 months of the aczone, the dryness was just too much. So I switched back to Proactive repairing lotion in the AM, and Differin in the PM. My skin seems to need benzoyl peroxide, as the Proactive is keeping my skin very clear since I switched back to it. Also, the only cleanser I use is Purpose. Very gentle.

Never used BOA, but I 've been using Proactiv since it came out and just recently switched to the Proactiv plus. Proactiv is the only thing that keeps my skin clear. I used to use it morning and night, but now I just use it during the day. When it comes to acne though, different things work for different people, so your mileage may vary. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}
