I've used a variety of foundations that I like, including Mally and Tarte. But when Mally (and others) claim that their makeup is "bullet-proof" and doesn't come off until you wash it off, I just have to laugh. I use it to cover my red nose when I have a cold or allergies, and the first time I blow my nose, it all comes off in the tissue! Has anyone found a solution?

Bumping this up! I have great skin, but all I want is a concealer to cover the broken capillaries around my nose. Which of course, is the hardest to cover because like you said - one blow and it's gone! It seems I can find eye makeup that really is bulletproof, but skin coverage, not so much.

I do have good luck with Chanel's. But I usually carry touch up products with me just in case.

No, but apparently it will stay in place if you get shot & I sure hope that doesn't happen.

fyi - ""bullet proof"" is a legitimate term. There is nothing wrong with it!

My makeup usually wears off around my nose and chin. I don't know if there is a solution, but I too would love to hear what others have to say.

I thought of this after seeing TV interviews with people addicted to plastic surgery. One woman had gone too far and she had to swab out her nose frequently because they made her nose too small. But it gave me the idea.
I thought I was the only one that wouldn't blow their nose in order to save the foundation. LOL I do the dab thing with a tissue. Now if it's a full on cold then dabbing may not do.

Because I have redness I apply MAC Studio Fix with a foundation brush (the flat kind) to my red areas before applying my foundation, then I follow up "setting" it with more Studio Fix. It seems to do the trick. My Chanel is also a long lasting formula so that helps.

Part of my problem probably is due to using a CC cream versus a long lasting foundation. Thanks for the tips.
