Brush Cleaner - I'm Impressed

I recently got the Sephora solid brush cleaner.  It's like soap in a can and comes with a silicone nubby pad to rub your brush on.  I tried it out last night and I have to say, I'm impressed.  I've tried a few times before to clean my blush brush using shampoo and while it was mostly clean, there was residue on the tips that just wouldn't come off.  I used this stuff and my brush is clean.  I did do it twice, but I have also shampooed them twice in the past without as good a result.

Does it work well with foundation brushes?  I have found most cleansers work well to remove powders, but my cream foundation brushes never come out perfectly clean.

I have something similar and it does work very well!  It's called "All Natural Brush Soap" by Cinema Secrets.  It also comes in a tin with a solid bar of soap inside of and the cap has a nubby silicone pad to swirl your brush in to get the makeup off.  It lasts a very long time.

Every time I buy a new foundation brush, I vow I'm going to keep it clean.  I don't, but I keep telling myself I will.

@SurferWife I've only used it on my blush and fluffy powder brushes.  I don't use a brush to apply floundation, so can't say for sure.

I mess up so many brushes by wasjing them with soap or shampoo in hot water -- the glue softens and the bristles come out.

How about using Purity Made Simple?  It takes off waterproof mascara and that Tarte liquid makeup that NOTHING budges.

[ Edited ]

I was gifted a huge Purity several months ago. It's too harsh for my face, so I've been using it to wash brushes... Takes everything off.

I put the Purity in a shllow dish, wipe the wet brushes in and swirl them around. To finish, I hold them under warm, not hot, water to rinse being careful to only get the bristles wet. If the metal or wood area does keep getting wet, the bristles can come out.

They aren't really caked up or dirty when I wash them because I "clean" them with IT BRUSH LOVE spray each time I use them wiping them on a paper towel. It makes shampoo time much easier. It isn't necessary to clean blush, bronzer or brushes each time they're used, but I do spray clean my liquid foundation brushes and eye shadow brushes.

***Before the Purity arrived, I used Baby Shampoo. It worked just as well.

I only use brushes for blush.  I wash mine in Dawn and use creme rinse then rinse till clear.  Works well for me.
