@ Shanus For many years I have had one small broken blood vessel on my face. Lately I have been looking for a more hydrating skin care and have noticed a couple more of the blood vessels on my face since using them. I am really beginning to think some of the ingredients in these new skin care items may be causing it.
I don't have rosacea although my skin is somewhere in the middle between light and light medium and cool toned. I am 73 and I think we are about the same age. I realize age may have something to do with it but never have I had another one till now. Any thoughts on this. Could it be a certain ingredient?

Gosh...I had a couple of those little "spidery" things on my face....and I drained them, and they never came back.

They can be treated and effectively by a Dermatologist.....

Using AHAs (lactic, glycolic acids) can exacerbate redness on the face.

I have numerous broken caps and red dots all over m face from a medical condition. I go to have them laser treated, by a derm, about every two years. Some are gone forever, some come back, new ones form and others don't respond at all to the laser treatments. I just live with mine. Spent thousands of dollars for treatments over the years with some improvement.

@jubilant check your meds. As a heart patient, like yourself, one of my meds was causing this issue. For example, Vasodilators for hypertension can be a trigger. I was told the only real solution is laser. It definitely worked for me.
Good luck and keep us posted.💐

@jubilant Hi. I'm a year older and have noticed a few broken blood vessels around my nose, but so far concealer is my friend.
As I always suggest, please check with your derm re: medications you're taking, tratmentments available and skincare that may be making your redness/blood vessel issue worse.
I think the other replies here are spot on.

Original poster - laser therapy gets rid of them, done professionally by a dermatologist
or her esthetician.

I use both of these actives and don't have redness. My question...redness isn't always broken caps is it? I have some broken caps on my chin. They've been there for years. I don't think it's getting worse.
