I am getting frustrated.

I had my hair dyed on 11/13 (using a boxed dye) and already it is fading. I've had highlights for a very long time, then went red in June and then when I lost my job, decided to re-dye it all dark. I feel like I have to dye it again! It's a little over a month!

And yes, I've been using sulfate-free shampoo. I was sick for 3 weeks in a row so I wasn't in the sun, either.

I usually use Feria. Can anyone recommend something else that has worked for them? Something that doesn't fade so quickly?

I'm doing a natural brown color. I was thinking of dyeing it black next time, so the fading is less obvious.
