Box store nail polish recommend...

[ Edited ]

Hello, Beauties!

Sometimes box store nail polish gets an undeserved bad reputation for low quality even if the price is reasonable.  Well, I'm here to tell you not all box store nail polish is the same in that regard.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri nail polish is high quality, chip resistant, long wearing, easy application, formula gives good slip with beautiful shades!

I clipped a coupon for this brand the week before and re-visited an old nail polish friend.  What a pleasant surprise for under three dollars!  LOVE the three stroke wide paddle brush which I find to be the best of the best giving easy application.  The formula has excellent slip gliding on like warm butter; the polish wear is outstanding with minimal chipping. It actually wears off more than chips.  If I apply a fast drying shiny top coat every other day, my manicure will last a full two weeks without much maintenance!  Man, I am impressed for around a $3 purchase with coupon.

The Insta-Dri line from Sally Hansen is a must try for a very small purchase with a big pay off.

FYI, I am wearing the color "Sand Storm" a beautiful warm beige neutral which is perfect for my warm skin tone.

Nail polish rainbows forever! Heart

Re: Box store nail polish recommend...

Thanks for the recommendation ... I'll try it.   Recently tried Sall Hanson's "Complete Salon Manicure" (approx $7).   No base or top coat required, therefore, sounds like a value.  I wear gloves while cleaning/dishes, never have my hands in strong detergent, yet, still chips (for me) after day 2.

I buff my nails, use two coats polish, and baby my nails...yet am still touching up daily.

@seaBreeze  Here is something I stopped doing because of YT nail education...buffing nails!  STOP.

Instead use either cuticle oil or cuticle cream and just gentely massage your nails regularly with it to increase blood circulation to the cuticles and nail bed to bring it to a healthy glow.  It will be much better for your nail health.

Thank you, @Good4u.  I've seen ads for the SH Insta-Dri and have been tempted to try it.   Now I will for sure!      The expensive Julep polish set I bought recently has been a huge disappointment.
