I assume The Borghese line and the Perlier line are from the same Borghese family. Am I right? Or is the name just a coincidence?
@Rachb @JeanLouiseFinchI read that Marcella Borghese was the mother-in-law/grandmother of Amanda and Skip Borghese who founded Perlier along with Amanda's husband and other son. Marcella Borghese and Revlon were partners in Borghese, which Revlon sold in the 90s to a group of Saudi investors. Marcella died about 15 years ago at the age of 90.
Rachb, the origins of the companies are separate, but the founders were family as stated by Linmo. Borghese Cosmetics has been through several ownerships over the years. I think this present group has done a credible job of restoring the brand's reputation as a prestige brand. The brand is available at more stores, spas, and online than it has been in years. They have retained some of the core products (such as Fango Mud and my eye lift), while bringing in new products and updating formulations to compete with the massive competition in the industry.

I would encourage you to try them. I am a fan of JM argon products but THESE..... Pure indulgence. And this is a FAB deal.
Ok your not helping me say no! LOL
@ChrissyKRIf you keep reading this forum, you will also soon get hooked on the Beekman 1802 products! A couple of times a week, I put on my Borgese mask, wait a few minutes, then rub on my Borghese salt scrub and hop in the shower. What a treat! I finish up by washing all over with one of the Beekman body washes and then layer with either a Beekman or Borgese body lotion. I've never gone to a spa, but I can't imagine it getting much better than this!
I am supposed to be on a NO buy right now. I had three packages from Tarte show up yesterday. One was so big they couldn't fit it in the mailbox. Then something showed up today I forgot I even ordered. I truly don't need anymore...I truly don't need anymore..I truly don't need anymore...
@ChrissyKR Not to encourage you, but Borghese is not on the air very often. They have maybe one or two TTVs a year. Evine typically offers special prices when the vendor is on the air. If you want to try the mud masks, you can probably find lower prices on eBay. For their other products, Evine is probably the best option if you purchase at a TTV or event price. For Skinn, the July anniversary show and the November/December holiday shows are the best time to stock up.

Looking at the ingredient list for the Tono Body Creme, I'm really disappointed to see that petrolatum is the second ingredient. Not good. And the fifth ingredient is mineral oil. I guess this is a pass for me.

Maria looks beautiful
The TTV is supposedly selling well. Hope for an early sell out + ODO's tmrw
Maria said there will only be 2 Borghese TTV's this year, 2nd one is in Sept
06-14-2016 09:28 PM
@ChrissyKR - lol Actually, the presentations they do with the mask products would be beneficial. Maria will discuss techniques & spot applications using the different mask formulas.
If there is a mask ODO...never say never
The TTV duo should last a long time, at least 6-9 mths. It's a super value, great price!

There is a single jar option with the printed label, large size with that fabulous sponge. $40
Borghese Limited Edition Fango Active Mud for Face & Body w/ Sponge - 311-855

If you don't care about the jar label, this trio is priced at $40. You get the cleanser, sponge & a choice of large sized jar of mask.
The purple "Ferma" is for firming, the pink "Briliiante" for Brightening.
Borghese Fango Mud & Cleanser for Face & Body w/ Sponge - 309-716

I grabbed this.. Borghese Fango Mud Mask Duo for Face & Body w/ Two Sponges - 305-209
Is this what I need for masks? I bought the ferma.

@ChrissyKR - this duo you purchased is also a good value. Borghese large jars last me a year b/c I also use other mask products from Skinn.
Borghese Fango mud -the regular dark green color and the Delicato light green are good deep cleansing masks, similar IMO to Skinn Vacuum mask.
The purple Ferma I will use to spot treat, using the vacuum or green masks in the Tzone and the purple everywhere else including the neck & décolleté.
The purple mask all over is nice for a quick tightening treatment before going out to a special event.
The pink Brightening is good to use all over or for spot treatments for dark spots, don't forget top of your hands.
I still think you will benefit/love using the Skinn Watermelon moisturizing mask. I usually do a duo mask treatment 2x per week and the watermelon mask is always my 2nd/final mask.
