I agree that the pace is too slow, which is one reason I never watch the shopping channels anymore. If I am interested in a product and need more info, I might watch the presentation video, but I'm not going to sit in front of the TV and watch the same old thing.

I've said it before..QVC is turning into a beautifully produced infomercial.. The sets are gorgeous and well lit. But I swear they must have had that Canon camera on 18 hours the other day. Every single time I switched on to the Q, there it was. Geez, it is the holiday season. Can't they throw in some nice jewelry shows? How many people can afford $300 to $600 items?

One credit I do give HSN is they still air, overall, a much wider variety of products than QVC does for the holidays. Yes, they do stay on some TSV's way too long (as does the Q) but they also keep more of a regular scheduling throughout the entire holiday period.

Last night I clicked on the Cooking with David show and they stayed on that Ninja TSV for most of his show and that was a 3 hour show. I would click off then click back after 20 - 30 minutes or so and there it was. They were desperate to sell that thing. Plus David kept saying there would be no additional inventory of it until at least 2015 and then I went to the product page where they were offering waitlist for every single color that had sold out. According to all the hosts presenting that, once they sold out they were gone and that was not the case. Times must be getting tough to have them blatantly lie like that.

The next few weeks should be a real joy, eh? I can't imagine even their regular viewers tuning it that much.

I awarded myself the opportunity to stop watching shopping channels a few weeks ago. It's been wonderfully liberating. Maybe I felt an obligation to buy something, or maybe I was just taken in at times, but today I can honestly say I don't miss the shopping channel experience and I don't have anything on order from anyone. I guess this might sound disloyal to some, but it's one of the best feelings I've had in a long time.

I have to admit that the Hallmark Movie Channels make a great substitute for me. Love their devotion to Christmas shows every year.

I believe the shopping channels will soon go the way of the soap operas. I'm speculating that may be a part of the reason Lisa Robertson is leaving. Just my opinion.

I love the Turner Movie Channel too - love watching some of the great actors from the past.

YES. The Q is notorious for pushing the same products over and over again. HSN has its core popular brands but you will see a lot more switch up than the Q. Plus, HSN is very generous with reduced/free shipping and flex pay. Not to mention they tend to ship out products faster than the Q (where the Q will hold orders and order tracking will stay on "In transit to facility" for days.)

Yep bothers the heck out of me! Who wants to sit and listen to the same old spiel for an hour on one item? That is just ridiculous!!!!!!!I probably won't bother with the Beauty Report tonight!

Talk about boring - the Beauty Report has spent the last 40 minutes on the TS.

I only flip over to QVC when what I'm watching on another channel goes to commercial. Husband makes fun of me saying I flip from one commercial to another.

In the last 6 weeks, every danged time I flip to QVC, they're showing electronics. Laptops, phones, Halos, printers, etc. Has QVC abandoned selling anything but electronics during the holidays?

I agree, HSN spends way too much time on each item. I even think the Q should move a little faster!
