Body lotion with thick consistency

I wasn't quite sure how to title this post. But here's my question. I recently purchased some very nice organic all-natural soap and body lotion by a company called "Nubian". You may have heard of it - it is goat's milk-based and available at Whole Foods. The scents are divine and the quality is just wonderful. However, - the body lotion is so thick that I can barely get it out of the bottle (plastic). I've had a similar problem with body lotion by Shea Moisture. Short of cutting the bottle open and transferring the contents to a jar - how do you get it out? I have thought of thinning it with some type of oil - perhaps jojoba? But that just seems senseless. Anybody have any ideas?

I've had this happen in the past - I thin it out with a less dense body lotion. Shake it up good so it mixes well!

I also agree with this recommendation. It is much easier than cutting open the bottle.

I warm it up a little first, usually just by running some warm water over the bottle or jar. I have a shea moisture body butter that is rock solid in colder weather (due to the coconut oil base) and this is what I do with it.

I just add a little distilled or purified water to the bottle and shake it up well.

Same here- I add filtered or bottled water very slowly (so as not to dilute it too much), testing it till it feels right. And I do the same when the bottle is about to finish.

Call the Customer Service number on the bottle and ask if it's a bad batch. In many cases, they'll send you another product or a coupon. ${#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}$

Thanks for the recommendations - they all sound good. I especially like the one to warm the bottle - going to try that first before I try to dilute. I do so much like the Nubian products - the scent is divine and last a long time. But I just can't deal with getting it out of the bottle!!!!
