Hi All!!

I just started wearing Bobbi Brown illuminating moisture balm (Major hydration and love it). I am 50 and have dry skin. This stuff helps. But i was wondering if anyone has tried her foundation stick or the extra soothing balm? Her stuff is expensive but now that my skin is dry and I love the illuminationg balm I am thinking about trying some other stuff.

Thanks

I also love Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and I have dry skin as well, but I've transitioned to IT Cosmetics and find the line to be hydrating and quality....   but I'd love to see more BB presentations and products!  Woman LOL

I am a fan of Bobbi Brown makeup.   When I first wanted to try her line I went to the department store in my area that sells Bobbi Brown.  The makeup artist used moisturizing cream for my skin and picked the liquid hydrating foundation.   Properly applied it is very hydrating and last the entire day.  I did purchase some items and liked the service.   The MU artist was not pushy and wrote out a list of things that work for my skin.   Just mentioning this option if you have a store in your area.   Like you my skin is dry and aging.

@LeighMarie, Bobbi's Foundation Stick is more of a for every skintype product.  Some may even argue that it is more for touching up rather than your first face makeup.  It is a very good foundation, but the new version (it was revamped a couple of years ago) is no where near as creamy and richly textured as the origianl version.

The Tinted Balm is extremely hydrating, but will only be sheer wash of cover.  That's fine most of the time, but many of us still like to have a foundation which covers a bit more for those days our skin demands that. If you had the Balm and the Stick, the Stick could be used for the extra coverage when needed.

Before I continue I'll say you can't go wrong with a Bobbi Brown foundation, so whichever you choose should prove to be satisfactory. I personally think the best option in the brand for dry skin types is Skin Moisture Cream Compact foundation.  This one is so rich and creamy my oily skin breaks out in a shine just typing thisWoman Wink. It's not heavy either, so don't be afraid that it is a greasy mess.  My sister is a retired business executive, and she has the driest skin of anyone I know.  This was her first choice foundation for long work days, and is her go to for dress up occasions.

I just tried this 2 days ago, & I absolutely HATED it. It's one of those foundations that I could feel on my skin all day- thick & awful. I applied it 2 separate times- first with a Beauty Blender, & next with a brush. Both times the foundation felt like I was wearing a blanket on my face. Plus, it just seemed to lay on top of my skin.

Another bad thing is that I had an allergic reaction to the formula. Today I have a face full of tiny crusty red bumps. I truly hate this foundation. Smiley Frustrated

I did get the tinted balm with spf 25 and it is fine for light coverage but sometimes just need a bit more coverage as I am getting older. I thinks its a great idea to go to a BB artist and try the products before i buy. She is expensive and I need to be so careful budget wise.

Thanks to each of you for responding. I really appreciate it.
