@monicakm   I wear blue eyeshadow but I wear all my shadows like a light wash of color, a hint of color rather than bright & jump out at people colors.

I remember wearing blue shadow all the way up to my eyebrows 😊 I believe there was a magazine cover with Elizabeth Taylor wearing shadow like that.  She, of course, looked beautiful.

I don't remember the book but I do remember blue eyeshadow in the '70s this is a less saturated powder blue with silver in it. It was only $16 on eBay so not much invested in a shadow I won't wear very often. Whispy lashes and bangs sheared out the color out even more.

Think I had to be a teen to do the bright blues.  But it was fun in retrospect.

Yes that's the one I had to. And it was also the first makeup I had. I remember we were eating dinner before going to a play day my brother and I were riding in. I was sitting at the opposite end of the table for Mom. When we finished saying grace, I looked up to see her glaring at me 😳  how did I think I could get away with wearing blue eyeshadow and Mom not see it??

@monicakm  That's such a cute and fun story! I can just imagine you saying grace with your eyes closed and your mom seeing that glam blue eyeshadow on you Smiley Very HappyHeart! So cute!

@monicakm, I searched for a thread where you discussed your heart attack originally but came up empty.  Do you remember the name of it?  I am curious about how it presented. 🤷‍♀️

Wow, @lgfan.  Great sleuthing! Maybe that's a lavender shadow.

I like a blue/silver gray on my blue-gray eyes. They always try to put me in some kind of a peachy orange color.  I am fair with rosy undertones and those colors make me look like I am making my face up for Halloween.

One thing I've never understood is if the color charts say I shouldn't wear orange, then why would I want to wear orange shadows?  Makes no sense to me.
