Re: Blue eyeshadow

[ Edited ]

IMG_0028.jpeg@monicakm   I think my very first make up purchase was a Maybelline single blue eyeshadow.  Probably around 1972.  Loved the "seventeen"  models, they all wore blue eye shawdow.  It was probably under $2.

I remember that I shadow and had it as well. It was probably around that same time or a year later. This Givenchy blue isn't that bright and saturated though. It has a good bit of silver in it.

No I just purchased a shadow.

I too was very disappointed in Travis' actions on the sideline. That was a nail biter of a game. I think I'm about recuperated.

When will you know if you are moving? Are you going to buy a house long distance?

After 2 days of prepping for his colonoscopy my husband did not have his procedure. He has had a heart murmur as long as I've known him. But the anesthesiologist did not feel good about putting him under without first having and Echo and a stress test 🫤 so now he has to go through all that prep again and miss two more days of work.

Did you get your snow? We don't have snow this morning but it is 32° the dogs and I are under too heavy quilts.  I hope you find the home of your dreams in your dream location!

I don't remember the book but I do remember blue eyeshadow in the '70s this is a less saturated powder blue with silver in it. It was only $16 on eBay so not much invested in a shadow I won't wear very often. Whispy lashes and bangs sheared out the color out even more.

Is Borghese still in business?  I don't own anything from them.

Reinvented is a good way to describe this Givenchy blue. Not at all the baby blues of the '70s.  More shear and with silver.

Yes that's the one I had to. And it was also the first makeup I had. I remember we were eating dinner before going to a play day my brother and I were riding in. I was sitting at the opposite end of the table for Mom. When we finished saying grace, I looked up to see her glaring at me 😳  how did I think I could get away with wearing blue eyeshadow and Mom not see it??

I have a shadow stick from Elf in the color blue steel which is a bluish silver-gray. Unfortunately, it's no longer available, so I'll be looking for a similar color in the future.

The blue steel is lovely and I'm not happy that it's discontinued.

@monicakm, I searched for a thread where you discussed your heart attack originally but came up empty.  Do you remember the name of it?  I am curious about how it presented. 🤷‍♀️
