Tempted to try the T3 TSV dryer.  Are  these pricey dryers really worth the money?  My hair needs help cause of frizz so this sounds like it might help.

I never put much faith in buying a more upscale hair dryer. Just thought it was a marketing ploy. I really thought my $39 Conair from Sally's was just working fine for my hair. Well one day I had a 20% coupon from Ulta and saw a GHD on sale. So I decided to give it a try. Oh my I was so impressed! First of all it dried my hair much faster. I have very thick, wavy, coarse hair which can get frizzy. This dryer made a huge difference. Won't go back to buying a less expensive drugstore brand.

I don't believe these expensive dryers are any better than less expensive ones.  I just bought one from Walmart for $25.00.  I think what really makes a difference is the condition of our hair.  Frizz often happens because we need a good, professional haircut.  Uneven, ragged ends will frizz and a not even a $1000 hair dryer can prevent it.  Also, the products that we use make a difference.  The general health of our hair makes a difference.  Trying to make our hair do something it doesn't want to do or can't do makes a difference.  But the dryer....not so much.

The T3 dryer made my hair worse. Hated it.

I have fine, poker straight hair so for me, my $20.00 blow dryer does just fine.  If I had course, thick, frizzy hair, there may be a benefit to a better dryer.

Well I just bit the bullet and ordered it.  My hair is dry and fuzzy and I keep buying the drugstore dryers when the one I am using konks out.  I invest a lot of money on my hair considering I have it colored every four weeks and I buy a lot of hair products (some expensive) so I decided to go with a better (hopefully) hair dryer.

I have been using the T-3 blow dryer for years and love it.  It's lightweight and makes my long hair straight and shiny.  I've had to use other brands (both expensive and not) on vacation, etc.  I see the difference immediately.   Love my T-3.

Re: Blow dryers

[ Edited ]

honeybuns: I ordered a T3 many years ago, when Lisa Robertson was on QVC. It lasted ~6 mos. I sent it back, got another one, it lasted about the same amount of time. Sent it back & upgraded to the 'premium' dryer. It lasted ~9 mos. The warranty was over and so was I.

The T3 gives a great smooth, shiny straight hair blow dry. Really nice! If you have very thick hair, which I do and it takes an hour to blow dry, the motor in the dryer can't handle it and it burns out, it's not for you. Works best on thin hair, even though they claim & demonstrate on thick, long hair. Don't believe it.

Paying for an more expensive blow dryer, than one from the drug store, ~$25 bucks is worth it. They do give a great blow out without frizz. I now have a Super Solano blow dryer, which is great, not as good a blow out as T3 but it's 5 years old.
