I'm trying to find a blow dryer brush for SHORT hair that doesn't get super hot even on the "low" setting. So far, every one I've tried out with a smaller barrel gets really hot (so hot it burns my hand when I hold it on the barrel for just a couple seconds). Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm about ready to stop looking.

@Beauty geek. I have the same problem so I found a small round bristle brush made of plastic.  The metal ones conduct heat too well and you can actually burn yourself.

@Beauty geek   Have you tried the Revlon Hot Air Brush? I have long hair, but even when I get the Revlon hot air brush close to my roots it doesn't get too hot- especially on the low setting.

@Beauty geek  use a blow dryer in one hand and a round brush in the other, but I was looking around Amazon and saw this.  It has three heat settings.

@Beauty geek   I have the Revlon oval blowdryr/brush. It has a large head so I assume only for medium to longer hair.

Calista on Q has smaller ones with brush heads for short hair.

I have a blowdryer styling brush by Hot Tools.  My hair is right below the nape of my neck in length, but fine. I take the brush with me when I have my hair cut because my stylist loves it. Thanks to him, I learned how to use the brush on my own and dry and style my hair with one tool.

@JeanLouiseFinch , thanks for the Revlon 1 1/2" post.  I have the blow dryer brushes which I love but got my hair cut and need a smaller one now.  I think this would be great!

Amazon has the Hot Tools Blowdryer Brush. Just type in the search bar. It is on sale right now for $39.96...

Hope this helps....

@Beauty geek   It's funny you posted this question. I just yesterday ordered this brush from Ulta. It was highly recommended by a hair stylist I follow on YouTube. He said that that every stylist in his salon uses one and their clients go out of their minds for it. It's specifically used for adding volume to short hair so I thought why not?  It's plastic, so it's not going to burn you. Now that my hair is short, I need to use different tools and products than when my hair was long.
