Re: Big day tomorrow-my no makeup look

[ Edited ]

The only time I leave the house with out make up is if I have a procedure at the hospital or when I had shoulder surgery in December (and only because I know I cannot have make up on).....kudos to those that feel comfortable with out make up.

Edited to add: Have a great trip!!!  I despise the Detroit Airport, always under construction.

I'd have the whole plane to myself if I went without any makeup, lol! Have a safe trip!

Re: Big day tomorrow-my no makeup look

The times I haven't worn makeup for a travel, I always feel awful after the fact.

@Mom2Dogs

I don't think I wore any makeup for my first knee surgery but Nurse Julie said it would have been fine.  Sooo, the 2nd knee surgery, I had on lips and lashes.

You are my kind of person.

Another poster was talking about planning her day, walmart, dads house,  she listed about 10 things she was planning on putting on her face.  I thought dear lord,  we are talking Walmart.   I don't think I even own 10 things to put on my face.

Enjoy your trip

@Travone So what? If it makes her feel more confident and pretty, then I say go for it!

To each their own. We fortunate enough to have choices.

@monicakm I love reading about your makeup looks! Would I use as many products (skincare & makeup) as you do? Nope! But I do enjoy putting on a full face occasionally.

I have an 8:00 am dentist appointment today, then running a few errands...my only makeup will be Dr. Denese Tinted Daycream, Laura Geller Serum Blush, and some lip stain topped with a clear balm. But that's me!

I like makeup.  It's my hobby.  You must not care for it.  That's fine.  What's the problem?  I'm not calling out anyone for not liking makeup.  Ten products can be a little or it can be a lot.  It solely depends on the application.  And you're right, after skincare, it was 10 items.  My husband told me at least 20x that day how pretty I was.  That's what matters to me.  At home, with no makeup, he tells me how cute I am lol  He's in love so...

Hope you have better luck at your dentist appt than I did.  I was supposed to get a cleaning AND xrays but just got xrays because of my recent heart surgery.  Have to clear the cleaning with the cardiologist.

Re: Big day tomorrow-my no makeup look

@monicakm When did you have your heart surgery? There are different opinons, but I read that the usual waiting time for dental cleanings after heart surgery is 3 months. The cardiologist has the last word,, but it might have been Ok for you to have a cleaning if you feel up to it.

I don't wear much makeup to the dentist. Skin tint, concealer and highlighter, sometimes bronzer and highlighter together. I've been trying the "underpainting" method, wearing highlighter under my skin tint. Both ways work for me: highlighter on top or under.
