Best over the counter mascara for the money.

I do like the It mascara... I like that it washes off very easily with soap and water where many mascaras do not. I was hoping there was a drug store brand like maybelline or the like that would be just as good for a lot less money and I would not have to pay shipping on top of buying it. I would appreciate any suggestions. Smile P.S....I hate gloopy mascaras that flake on your under eye!

My favorite mascara is Maybelline's The Rocket. One coat wonder. The best I've ever used!

For me, CoverGirl LashBlast is the best! I've tried some higher-end mascaras that came in kits, but they don't work any better. CG lasts all day on me and washes off easily w/Cetaphil. I have pretty good lashes, and only need one coat--top lashes only.

Jordana Best Lash Extreme. It's $2.99 at Walgreen's and it's the best darn stuff around. There are a couple other Jordana mascaras, but I don't like them. The Best Lash Extreme is in a black tube with lavender lettering. I got my daughter using it and now she's got a bunch of others hooked on it too.

I keep going back to good, old, reliable Maybelline. I try others and always go back. I don't really have a favorite, as I like all their formulas, but I do prefer waterproof. As a contact lens wearer, I do not want mascara running down my face if my eyes should tear up.

I like Almay Intense I-color, especially the plum color. Also comes in midnight (black) and sapphire (navy) and possibly one other color.

Do you curl your eyelashes and if so, does Jordana Best Lash Extreme hold the curl? I stick with Maybelline because it's the only mascara that holds the curl when I curl my lashes. My lashes are stick straight, so they must be curled. Thanks. Smile

I've tried most of the drugstore brands and keep going back to L'Oreal Voluminous. It's the only one that doesn't flake or smear on me. One coat does it - adds length and volume.

Everyone's skin chemistry is different. Both the Lash Blast and Jordana gave me raccoon eyes.
