I have several I can use without problems.  I'm dry and sensitive and have rosacea.  I like L'Oreal True Match, and the Infallible 24 hour wear.  Also Clinique Even Better just to name a few.

@RainyDayGal

I've heard very good things about True Match.

Try Jane Iredale. It is a pure mineral formulation that has been used by plastic surgery patients, many spas, and finally found itself in the retail sector.The foundation comes in both a powder form and a liquid.

if dryness caused your problem then you may prefer liquid. One of my favorites is Chantecaille Future Skin. My skin looks so fresh and alive. If you have a Nordstrom or Newman-Marcus in your area the counter person can help with the perfect match. The company has a web site for those of us living in areas without those two stores.

@On It I have never heard of either of these lines,  but I'm going to check them out along with others suggestions here.  Jane iredale sounds intriguing.

@Kitty Galore   I use Bobbi Brown fluid powder light coverage, buildable natural matte finish $40.  Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer is a nice choice too.  A little higher in price but you have to catch sales $47.

I don't know your age, but I had to give up bareMinerals when I turned 50.  Experimented with liquid foundations, BB creams and hybrid products until I found Lumene CC cream.  I've stuck with it because it's just as foolproof as bareMinerals.

@just bee @May I ask why you had to stop  bare minerals,  what changed for you ?   I'm not familiar with Lumene cc cream ,   I will have to look it up,  I'd like to try it ,  what kind if finish is it ?

@Kitty Galore

I just started to look a little like a day-old glazed donut.

I think my skin just decided to go a little drier.  Lumene products were actually mentioned on a thread here several years ago.  Back then it was easy to get them at Walgreens.  Now I live in fear that they'll disappear.

Sure, there's Amazon and CVS, but CVS is pricey.  Target actually stocks them and it's encouraging that they've added new Lumene products to their  website.  I just ordered some medium CC cream today because they have the 25% off deal throught the 22nd.

Uh-oh.  I just looked at the Lumene website and the CC cream is not there.  Could it be that day has come?  That it's been discontinued?

I'm sorry.  I need to assume the fetal position now. Woman Sad

@just bee   oh I'm sure it's just out if stock ,   If it's popular that could definitely be why . It happens to me all the time ,   I love a prouduct and then it's Gone !!   Hopefully that's not what happened.  It most be a wonderful foundation with you liking it so much .   I do want to try it.

@Kitty Galore

It's still on the Lumene website (Finland) but it's not on the U.S. site.  But I'm also having some technical issues with that site right now so I won't panic yet.

Target carries only two shades: Light and Medium.

Light is $14.99, Medium is $11.69.  Happily, I use Medium.  And remember the current 25% off deal. Woman Wink

LUMENE CC Cream 6-in-1 - Semi-Matte - SPF20 - 6 Shades - Vegan - New | eBay

The finish?  Definitely not matte.  On me, it's more "dewy."  But I also use Lumene Glow Reveal moisturizer under it.

Check out Target's site tonight...

Re: Best foundation for sensitive skin

If you don't have a lot to cover I would suggest a tinted moisturizer with light coverage and using a concealer where you need more conerage.

Noticed a lot of people now are ditching foundations and using tinted moisturizers now.

Re: Best foundation for sensitive skin

@just bee  Noticed on Amazon that Lumene has a CC cream with an spf.  The CC cream at Target does not have the spf.  Just was wondering if you'd seen that.  I might try the one with the spf at some point.

Re: Best foundation for sensitive skin

[ Edited ]

I only us makeup that's not tested on animals, made in a country that I feel is safe, USA, France, Italy, Korea or Japan.  I also buy makeup made with nontoxic ingredients.  Plus I don't buy it online, only in Sephora or a department store, then I know that it's authentic and fresh!  So, with that, I went into Bloomingdales in my town, and tried on some foundation, and was able to chose one that looked great!  The brand that I initially went to, the salesperson recommended a different brand because he felt that his brand colors were not good for me.  Hope this helps!

Re: Best foundation for sensitive skin

For the most part I am still using Laura Geller B & B.  I keep trying different things and I keep going back to this.  It's not perfect for me, but I have better results with it than anything else.
