Best Makeup for Over 50's

Help! I am looking for a change but don't know what to try. I am 57 with yellow undertones and starting to experience some dryness in my skin during the cooler months. I like medium coverage to cover the imperfections and have sensitive skin. I am not a big eyeshadow wearer so that part isn't real important to me. I need some suggestions as to what to try but don't want to break the bank trying to find the perfect makeup. Please, suggestions as to what to start with would be appreciated.
