I am loving Maybelline gel eyeshadows. They come in about 8 different colors and the color I wear is very similar in shade to the D & G one you are showing. Maybelline's is around $6.00 and it lasts all day on my oily eyelids. When I would wear powder eye shadows they would crease and then basically disappear by mid day.

I'm loving the Mary Kay version for $14. You know how you pretty much have to buy something when a coworker is having a party? I picked out a mid-tone gray with a sheen to it and I've been in love with it ever since.
I've tried the elf sticks and while the more neutral shades are great, the gray they offer just looks like all glitter on me, no gray pigment at all, darn it. I had high hopes for that one in my crease.
Oh SuzyQ3?? I'd kill for those eyebrows!!!

"Glittery" to me means noticeable pieces of glitter...this eyeshadow is more "shimmery" to me, and I would wear it at 59! Mauve shadow makes me look like my eyes are bruised. I'm wearing a shimmery lavendar today, with plum eyeliner. Don't go by what some "expert" says...wear what YOU think looks good!

Uh-oh. You're not thinking that that was a picture of me, were you?

Does it have shimmer? If so, can't wear it.

I think it's pretty too, thank you for the rec. I only wear eyeshadow on special occasions but this looks like it would suit me.

Ooooo, I went online and saw that this is a matte, so have bookmarked it. Thx for the rec.

I am going to look at the other shades.

This is from the D&G site for ""Desert"" -- looks a lot different than what the OP posted. It's listed in the ""matte"" category.
