Beekman Hand Cream vs Body Lotion Ingredient Change

Just to let you know the hand cream & the lotion are now the same ingredients. I wondered why Evine had the same ingredients listed on the lotion & hand cream. I checked the ingredients on both today after I received the bounty box. I still had a tube of the Honeyed Grapefruit so I compared the ingredients on it to the Honeyed Grapefruit hand cream they are selling on Evine today in the 5 piece hand cream set. I liked the hand cream better then the lotion. The hand creams did not have mineral oil or urea in them. Here are the ingredients.

Honeyed Grapefruit Hand Cream (When it First Came Out)

Aqua (water), Cymbopogon Flexupsus (Lemongrass) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Glyceryl
Stearate, Cetearyl Glycoside, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Cetearyl Alcohol, Parfum (Fragrance),

Manihot Esculenta (Tapioca) Startch, Phenoxyethanol, Glycerin, Xanthan Gum, Caprae Lac (Goat Milk),

Tocopherol, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid

Honeyed Grapefruit Hand Cream (What's in it Now)

Aqua (Water), Isopropyl Myristate, Dimethicone, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Parfum (Fragrance),

Butyrosperum Parkii (Shea) butter, Cetearyl Alcohol, Psidium Guajava Fruit Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf juice,

Tocopheryl Acetate, Acrylates/Acrylamide Copolymer, Mineral Oil, Polysorbate 85, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer,

Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Caprae Lac (Goat Milk).

Wow that was fast that they changed their formula of a product already! Not a good sign.

@Nightowlz Do you mean the hand cream and body lotion?

I just had a look at the Bounty Box body lotion and hand cream ingredient decks and they're identical. It's kind of weird, isn't it? I would think there would be some other thickener or that whatever is in it as a thickener would be in a higher spot for the hand cream.

Also, I thought the boys were against petrochemicals. Isn't mineral oil considered to be a petrochemical? It's an ingredient in the lotion and hand cream.

Here are the changes on the Vanilla Absolute. I don't have any other tubes of the ones they first came out with.

I guess all their hand creams are now the same ingredients as their body lotion. I like the ingredient deck of the hand cream better but now they are the same now. I was going to buy the set of 5 hand creams & glad I noticed before I ordered them. I ordered a set of the Honey/Apricot bar soap instead since it's the only one that actually has honey in it.

That's what I thought. Mineral oil originally was not in the hand creams. I guess maybe only the scents of hand creams they were making before they made the change.

@Nightowlz, it looks like your original hand cream had more natural ingredients and the new hand cream has more ingredients that I can't pronounce. Doesn't sound like a good sign if that is the direction it is going. I hope the more natural, botanical aspect of their line doesn't change. I'm glad I passed on the hand cream set, if that is the case. I did go back and spring for a set of apricot honey tea bar soaps and used a 10% code. Every little bit helps. 😊

Thank you for the code idea Labluver! I had just ordered the apricot honey tea bar soaps too. Went back and resubmitted...pretty much covered the shipping for me=)

Something rings inauthentic about this brand. For the high price, they should not be using cheap ingredients like mineral oil. Too bad the hand cream is now silicone based, another cheap ingredient. For the goat milk products, the goat milk is usually near the end of the ingredient list, after a bunch of chemicals.

Definitely agree, the mineral oil has to go!!!
