Re: Beekman Body Wash

[ Edited ]

@Jacie, I tried the Honeyed Grapefruit. I didn't like it, it didn't smell like honey or grapefruit to me, it just seemed strong and perfumey. I found the consistency of both the lotion and hand soap to be thin and runny.

I don't want to discourage you from the liquid products,  though. That was just my experience and I'm very scent sensitive due to my asthma. I gave it to my daughter, who has sensitive, eczema prone skin and the hand wash irritated her skin so we ended up giving it to my mom, who has had no problems with it.

My daughter has had great results with the bar soaps. I bought the Pure Goat Milk and the Honey and Oat bars for her. They have been great for her skin, no dryness or irritation. She also is having good results with the wipes on her face.  Those I can highly recommend.

It's a great line, I love the natural aspect of it with no phosphates, parabens or sulfates.

Enjoy your purchases!

I love the bar soap but not the body wash because it does not suds and it seems like I have to use a lot. I will not buy thaty again but I am a Beekman Soap addict.

I would suggest you start with their bar soap - F -A - B- U- L- O- U- S!!!!  Their body washes are runny - not thick and do not last long at all.  The bar soaps last forever, are moisturizing and just the best!

Ive never tried the body wash and doubt I will unless it comes with a kit I want because the reviews seem to be just okay for them and they aren't cheap, especially if they are just okay.

I LOVE the hand washes in the brown bottles though- since trying them over a year ago, I haven't bought any other hand washes. They are my HG.

I like the Violet. I have to say I prefer the bar soap over the liquid. The liquid is thin & does not suds much unless you use a lot. The bar soap will last longer then the liquid soap IMO. Also when I received my set of 3 body washes one of them was half empty from leaking. They need to fix the leaky bottles.

I had the same problem with leaky bottles on two separate orders. Another issue I had with this brand is that the Vanilla Absolute scent is more floral than vanilla. I like my vanilla to smell like cake (or cookies, or muffins, or ice cream.....sorry I'm on a diet 😐) not flowers.

I guess I'm just the opposite. I don't care for most vanillas but I like the Vanilla Absolute. I do prefer florals over the bakery scents.

I don't like Vanilla scented stuff either normally but I love the Vanilla Absolute scent! To me, it is a warm, cozy scent, a bit masculine. I am glad it doesn't smell like sweets- I HATE foodie scents in body and skincare.
