I've seen this mentioned from time to time on various Beauty YouTube channels. Haven't paid it a bit of attention because the thought of putting it on my face was not an option. Well I just spent the afternoon and evening with my family at the rehab center where my husband currently is. I immediately saw a huge Improvement in my daughter's complexion. Her complexion wasn't bad but she spends a lot of time outside and as far as I know doesn't protect her skin from the sun and isn't into skincare. She has deep set crow's feet and she has forehead lines.  Today her crow's feet were virtually invisible as were the forehead lines. Her complexion was more translucent and soft. I instantly told her how incredible her complexion looked and ask her what she was doing. "Beef tallow". Color me sold!  She was supposed to give me a sample this evening but neither one of us remembered. I know I can probably buy it online but I want the stuff she's using and I know she's buying it from some mother nature organic somebody.  She did say she was buying grass-fed beef tallow versus grain fed. Is anyone here using it? She looks 10 years younger

I've used it since Thanksgiving and my bathroom counter sure has cleared off !!  I absolutely love it and have several jars on stand by.  I heard that it's hard to ship the cream during the summer months so I stocked up. I've got my DD and sister on it now - game changer, friends !!  It has a pleasant fragrance, by the way.  To all those who are skeptical, don't knock it until you've tried it.

@monicakm  -  Are you saying she buys is locally instead of online?  If she buys it online, can you share?  Thanks.

I'm not a fan of putting grease on my face.

ESPECIALLY not animal fat.   Wouldn't that have a tendency to clog pores?  di

@Desertdi

I understand it's not suppose to clog pores but I'm not the least bit tempted to see if that's true or not.

Tallow is the stuff from around the organs--it's boiled down then claified. I think maybe lard is what everyone is thinking--that comes from pork. tallow is used to make candles too. have seen alot of this on youtube--haven't looked into it tho----not sure what the benefits are---going to derm dr in a few weks--maybe I will ask for an opinon.

Re: Beef Tallow

[ Edited ]

Tallow is almost all saturated fat. It is mostly composed of triglycerides. Don't eat it if you want to maintain a healthy cholesterol profile.

For use on skin it's occlusive so apply it on clean skin to avoid trapping bacteria on the skin which might cause acne. It has a comedogenicity rating of about 2 where 5 is the worst for clogging pores.
