My mom isn’t a huge makeup person, but I remember a red lipstick in a gold metal case. She alternated two perfumes, Chanel no5 and l’air du temps (which she still wears). Red lips and fuller eyebrows was/is her look. She still has great, dark eyebrows at 87!

Love this thread!  My mom looked (as I used to refer to her) like a cross between Liz Taylor and Sophia Loren.  So I always thought of her as exotic.  She wore Tigress perfume until more modern days when she switched to Nicki St Phalle.  I do know she wore make-up and "put her face on" but she never left the house without lipstick.  She tried to drill that into me but no go.
