Beauty Purchases This Week; 7/11/24

Good morning! Let us know what you purchased this week and how you like it! Did you take advantage of some of the July 4th sales - I know I did!

Here's my list:

RMS Beauty - Yes, another blush but this time a cream blush. Lip2Cheek in Demure and an Eyelights in Strobe. Wore Strobe yesterday and it's a pretty taupe. Haven't tried the Lip2Cheek yet.

DRMTLGY - They were having a sale that had a bigger discount than the discount code I usually use so went ahead and bought backups of sunscreens. I love their sunscreen. It works so well under makeup and doesn't leave a white cast. Broad Spectrum spf 45 and a Universal Tinted Moisturizer spf 46.

ULTA - Since ULTA is having extra points through the 13th, I bought ELF Lip pencils in Baddest Beige and Mauve Aside. Also bought a Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Rose Velvet and an Essence Pure N*de Baked Blush in Rosy Rosewood. The lip pencils are basic colors which is what I was looking for. They go on nicely and have good staying power too. The Revlon lipstick is a rosy brown. I love it. Neutral lipcolors can wash me out but this has some color to it. The Essence blush I'm not so sure about. Tried it yesterday and it seems to fade on me very fast. Love the shade just not sure about staying power. Will try it with other foundations and see how it goes.

Timeless Cosmetics - They were haivng a great 40% off sale so bought another bottle of the CoQ10 and Vitamin C. Been using these for a long time. Received the COQ10 but haven't received the Vitamin C yet.

Perlier - From the sale on their website, I purchased a set of 4 hand creams: White Almond, Imperial Honey, Gold Almond, and Olive Oil. Also ordered Honey Meil Body lotion and shower gel. From HSN, my auto-ship of the Royal Elixir Youth Creator arrived. Also from HSN the Black Rice Eye Serum, Royal Elixir Night Oil, and Black Rice Face scrub. Most of these I've tried or are using on a regular basis. The Night Oil is new and like it a lot. Don't like most oils but this one soaks in quickly and doesn't leave an oily feel on my skin. Haven't tried the scrub but like other Black Rice products so I'm sure this will be fine also.

KORRES - Had a great set of 4 products on sale on HSN as they are discontinuing this particular line so picked up the Ginger Mint set. It includes a body cream, shower gel, hand cream, and intensive body cream. Haven't tried them yet.

City Lips - They were having a BOGO sale. Since I've been wanting to try their lip glosses, figured now was the time. Ordered, Sun Diego, Plum Springs, and South Peach. Received them yesterday but haven't tried them yet.

ELF - From their website I purchased the new Soft Glam Satin Foundation in shades 21 and 25. Was out yesterday and didn't get home until late so haven't tried them yet. Blending Sponge - I really like their pink blending sponge so added it on to get free shipping. Plumping Lip gloss - bought 2 of these. One is Sweet Talker and the other is Mauve Lady. Think those are the names, the writing is so darn small that I can hardly see it. Also got 2 free sampes - one is their Holy Hydration cleanser and one is their primer with niacinamide.

@Iwantcoffee - I definitely want to hear how you like this once you've used it for a bit. I have the HaruHaru toner and love it.

Hi @JudyL I purchased the Philosophy Mango Tango 3 n 1 duo. I have had the scent before and enjoyed it. I wish I would have purchased just the single bottle but it sold out!

@JudyL This cleansing balm is my first purchase from the HaruHaru brand. I will try to remember to post a review after I have used it a while.

@JudyL Have you tried the Perlier hand creams before? I'm wondering how they compare to L'occitane and Korres hand creams. Between the two, I like Korres slightly more than L'occitane, as it seems to absorb better.

The only Perlier product I've tried is Black Rice eye serum, which was several years ago. I wasn't impressed with it, didn't seem to do much. or absorb very well. Maybe they've changed the formula since then.

@teganslaw - I have nothing but Perlier hand creams. I have such a hard time finding ones that work for me and Perlier seems to be the best. Have no idea re the scent of any of them but they keep my hands moisturized and feeling good even in the winter. L'Occitane never worked well for me and I haven't tried Korres hand lotions so can't coment on that one.

Nothing to report from me except a visit to my derm's office for my milia problem. The milia were appearing several at a time and that's unusual for me. So the derm said it wasn't anything I was using or doing to my skin that caused the excessive milia. She said it has everything to do with my AI disease, scleroderma, and that I can expect to see them now and then...ugh. She extracted the ones I had and suggested a Rx for a higher strength of tretinoin in 1.0% vs the 0.5% I'm currently using. I have to think about that first. Not sure If I want to go there just yet.
