Beauty Purchases This Week; 5/1/25

Good morning!  Its the start of a new month already.  Let us know what you purchased this past week and if you've had a chance to try it out.  Do you like it or maybe not?  Is it a new to you purchase or the purchase of a favorite product?

Here's my list:

ULTA - Purchased a few things - The Ordinary Rosehip Oil, Natasha Denona concealer in N3, Natasha Denona Hi-Glam Powder Foundation in 4-5, and Smashbox Pore-Vanishing Primer.  All these products are new to me.  The Smashbox primer is their newly released primer and it has gotten pretty good reviews.  It arrived yesterday but haven't tried it.  The rest has not arrived yet.

Smileactives - I caved and decided to try their special offer that they were having last weekend. It still hasn't shipped.  I'm about to cancel the order.

BareMinerals - Even though I initially said I was going to pass on the TS, I caved and ordered it in Cashew.  It shipped today.

Timeless Skin Care - They are having a Mother's day sale that is pretty good. So ordered a Vitamin C and a CoQ10.  These are staples for me.  Every now and then I try a different Vit C but I always go back to Timeless.

Bioderma - Have decided to try micellar water in the mornings so ordered the Sensibio H20 Micellar Water (the pink cap).  This should be arriving today.

Looking forward to reading everyone's posts.  I learn so much from all of you and also have tried some new to me products that have been great.  Have a good Thursday!

Prequel Vitamin C Serum-this is a new product for me. I have not used a vitamin c serum and decided to purchase this to apply before sunscreen.

I bought the Perlier Youth Creator Eye Serum  I have used it before and like to add it to my routine periodically.

Skinn: Lip 6x Lips Amplifying Serum this is an auto ship for me.  I love this stuff and it's my go to  at night (especially in winter).  I stock up when I can.

Perlier: Royal Elixir Night Oil:  This is an Auto ship for me.  Just like this oil alternating with Skinn oil.

Dolly Parton: Smoky Mountain Gold Extralt de Parfum Surprised my self by ordering this but something about it appealed to me.   I actually like it and it lasts on my skin.

That's it for me this week.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

Re: Beauty Purchases This Week; 5/1/25

Happy May Day, Beauties! 🌷

I have a few things to list this week -

Venus Disposable Razors - picked up a card of 15 at Costco.  They should last me quite awhile.

Perlier Mandorla Almond Dry Skin Gel Oil in Jar - I was curious about this but missed ordering it some months ago.  When I saw it on sale again, I ordered one.

Perlier Royal Elixir Youth Creator Eye Serum AS - it was a few dollars cheaper than my original AS plan so I cancelled the first one and started a new one.  I just opened a new bottle so I didn’t really need one yet, but I can adjust the shipping schedule.

Haircut & Highlights - DD worked her magic once again.

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler -  Following Rose Marie's instructions, I decided to start curling my lashes again.  I lost my eyelash curler a long time ago and never replaced it. I finally did.  RM endorses Mac, but the Shu Uemura supposedly has a cult following. I've always bought good ol' Revlon in the past, but decided to upgrade and see what all the hubbub was about.

Just one thing.

Aqhaphor Healing Balm StickAquaphor Healing Balm Stick, Skin Protectant with Avocado Oil and Shea Butter, 0.65 Oz Stick

I apply that to my eyelids every night before bedtime. My lids are never dry. That stuff really works well. No migrating into eyes either.

@JeanLouiseFinch  - I've had a Shu Uemura eyelash curler for years.  Think you'll like it.  I wouldn't buy any other kind.

Glad to read your endorsement, @JudyL.  It just arrived late yesterday so I haven't had a chance to try it out yet.  I'm sure it'll be a keeper.

Seems the tarte life lock and the  Paula's choice serum were causing irritation to my eye area. So I ordered the CT setting spray I have always used. I also got the naturium retinaldyhyde thinking maybe it will be gentler then the PC. Ulta had a 15% off everything that ended yesterday so I decided to go ahead and get it.
