Good morning

Went to Target to get lightbulbs and of course walked thru the beauty area.  Lots on clearance.

Maybelline Super Stay Foundation and Concealer.  Tried the concealer this morning and it was decent.

Neutrogena Serum Foundation.  It is light coverage and I like it.

ELF Big Mood Mascara for DD. She likes it

Sonia Kushak Brush Set. I like her brushes a lot

I got a couple more things but can't remember.

Have a good weekend

ETA I also got the 4 pack Bioderma from Costco for another DD   Thanks  @GingerHead for reminding me

I forgot to say, you are so welcome. I'm glad you got yours! I received my 4 bottles yesterday and I'm so thrilled about getting such a great deal! Gotta love Costco!

It's Thursday!  Good morning!  Let us know what you purchased this past week and how you like it.

My list:

ELF - Purchased a few things:  Putty Color-Correcting Eye brightner, Camo Liquid Blush, Liquid Poreless Putty Primer.  The only item I've tried so far is the color-correcting eye brightener and I like it a lot.  Just used a little and it did help with the bluish darkness that I have and concealer went over it just fine.  I'll continue to use this.  Did swatch the blush in Dusty Rose and it looks very pretty.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara in brown.  I had forgotten how great this mascara is.  The brown is definitely brown not a dark brown that looks black type of shade.  My lashes looked so nice, no flaking, or smearing, easy to remove.  Thank you to the poster that recommended this shade.

IT Cosmetics - the Q had a deal for 2 of the CC + Nude Glow for $52 which is great since one is $47 at ULTA or Sephora.  Picked this up in the Light/Medium.  I use this all the time more as a tinted moisturizer than a foundation.

RMS Beauty - from the show the other night I purchased the Re-Evlove Foundation and the Buriti bronzer.  They have already shipped so will review after I get them.

Forgot to add:  SKINN - Auto ships from HSN - DWP moisturizer and eye cream.

Hope everyone is doing well.  Looking forward to reading all the posts!

@JudyL  Is the ELF Putty Corrector in a pot or a stick.  I looked it up and they showed both.

May I ask what color you ordered and what is your skin tone?  It looks intriguing and for $6 what the heck.  I am always willing to try an undereye coverage/brightener.

TIA

@tends2dogs  - The ELF poreless putty primer comes in a tube and there is no shade to choose, it's just one shade.  Also, the ELF eye brightener was in a pot and there was only one shade.

Have you noticed a "heat" issue with the halogen bulbs?  They are 2x as hot as incandescent.

@monicakm As in it heating up the bathroom?  No. I'm not in there standing in front of the vanity that long anyways except when I'm coloring my hair or putting on makeup and I've done neither since I put the two in. The heat vent comes out at the bottom, so I don't know that I'd know whether it was hot because of the lighting or because of the heat vent.  I've used halogens before elsewhere and never had an issue with them.  I'm generally cold natured anyways.

My electric meter would be spinning fast if I used halogen bulbs. I really thought they stopped making them.

ETA-

Indeed they have stopped making them. Feds banned them in 2023 but they are not illegal to use. Just not going to be available after supplies run out.

I've been trying out a new hair-loss serum by NUSPA for about 3 weeks so far. I'm excited about it b/c it contains one of the ingredients found in the lash-growth serum made by VieBeauti which I have had much success with using on my lashes. I'm hoping to see some new hair on my head but it's going to take some time. I will post more about it if I see any change to my hair growth.

I wanted to come back here to mention one thing about this scalp serum I've been using. I have an oily scalp and I usually have to shampoo every 2 to 3 days b/c of the oil. But what I noticed after using the NUSPA (it's water-based) is that my scalp is not getting as oily. So, if you want to try this serum just to control the oil on your scalp, this works. I believe the oil-controlling properties is mentioned somewhere on their website.

It also gives my hair a root lift! Love that!

Re: Beauty Purchases This Week; 1/25/24

I bought and received the 4 pack of Bioderma from Costco.  I really like this especially when I wear makeup. Also ordered the Belle Wisp lashes to have on hand out of curiosity.  Not a big false lash fan, but decided to try these.

@Shanus I have the Ashe VB eyeliner and several others.  They are a go to for me.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.
