Two that come to mind: tweezing too much brows, not that they didn't need some attention, but now I have to fill in what could have been more natural.

And the one time where I attempted to make my own vitamin C (from L-ascorbic powder) serum. Obviously didn't have the correct formulation. Good thing the effect was short-lived!

Mistakes in color choices that weren't the most flattering, or believing beauty vendors w/o due research....I have lived & learned, so all is not lost!

At the height of her popularity, I had a girl crush on Twiggy. I had my very dark pixie bleached out to blonde, wore heavy black liner top and bottom and a tube of mascara every morning. Add my white patent Go Go boots and I thought I was hot stuff....NOT!

Me too, but we called it a  "shag" back then.  Mine started out short, but when it grew out I had the David Cassidy cut. 😆

Re: Beauty Mistakes

[ Edited ]

I had a "beautiful" shade of jade eyeshadow (age about 15).  I wore it from edge of eyelid to brow.  I thought it looked so good.  My younger brother ask me if my eyelids had mold on them.  But I still wore it.  I have a picture of me with it on and its hideous!

@KaySD Funny post!   Many of my Logo pieces have become sleepwear too!  ( LOL)

Some of the pieces I can still wear as you stated but I am only 5'4" so I am limited to what I can pulloff in that line.  I have since stopped buying it.

For me I didn't make any beauty mistakes, Smiley LOLJust kidding........mine was most likely when I straightened my crazy big hair in high school.  It was a dramatic change, no one even recognized me, it was a strange experience.  I did it again as an adult (don't ask me why?)  and when I got home my cat growled at me.  Guess I just can't pull off straight hair!

@QVCkitty1 When Farrah Fawcett was popular in her day my friend and I decided to frost our hair.  Needless to say, we were in high school, pooled our money and went for it.  She had blonde hair so it looked good.  My hair was black and it turned orange!  When my mother saw my head, she turned RED!

I love the shag.  And I tried to wear my hair like David Cassidy.  I just had too much hair at the time.  My hair was very thick and just did not behave like his.  Wish I still had that thick hair now.

I don't recall any disaster as a kid, but 2016, was going to visit a friend for a long weekend in AZ, thought I would do a little home coloring , like a couple days before. Bought my usual brand of hair color and shade, box was sealed--threw it on may hair and it turned out a bright fire engine red instead of the med brown I normally use!!! the wrong color was put into the wrong box!!OMG--used up almost a whole bottle of dawn trying to wash it out--and could not get in to see a hair dresser to fix it. so went to AZ with very red hair----that was the last time I have used or ever will do home coloring!!Woman Mad

Tanning as a teen and not covering arms when outside. Sun damage is not beautiful.
