I agree. I was watching the Mally show yesterday and there were some products I was interested in- but she kept applying one on top of another on top of another - by the end of the show the models were caked in product and to be honest it looked terrible.
It is not impossible to do this - other vendors start with a bare face.

If you have exactly the same skin tone and type as the model, it might help ..... but, personally, I test most makeups on my hand and can tell if it's what I want from that.
The camera work on QVC isn't good enough to help, whether the model has any makeup on, or not.

The demos are misleading, I agree. And do you notice on the before & after the before is a shot taken some time ago? The blonde model Desiree has a lot of acne in her before pic, and it's perfectly covered in the after.

I saw a couple of It's models go from bare face last week with the Celebration foundation. My only critique was that the shade seemed too light on the models. So they are listening to us, some of them, anyway.

So you don't think they were taken the same day?
Was the model's clothing different? Perhaps the makeup actually DID cover the blemishes?

I just want them to show the colors of foundation etc.. on skin or shoot the item colors by themselves, showing me a picture of someones face gives me zero direction on what it will look like on my skin. If they could at least put a color swatch on a sponge it sure would help.

As for blowing out hair, I disagree ...... they aren't selling the "blow out", they are selling the styling product.
Your best bet is to simply read the reviews of people who have used the product .... they will be honest and you'll learn more.
I agree, except a lot of women don't get that. They keep coming back asking "How do I get hair that looks like a WEN model!?" I keep telling them that you go get a blowout because no shampoo/conditioner/styling product is going to make your hair look like that, a stylist will.
People lack critical thinking skills. I'm a WEN user and I love my WEN, but I don't look like a WEN model and don't want to. I have no desire to spend that much time with a blowdryer.
