Bath & Body Works holiday hand soaps

B&BW recently put out their hand soaps for this holiday season.  I bought my usual favorites of Vanilla Bean Noel and Twisted Peppermint.

But I have one to recommend to everyone, if you like Lemon.  I LOVE the Very Merry Meringue soap!!!!  It smells like Lemon Meringue pie.

I'm very fragrance sensitive- can't handle any of the balsoms, musks, etc. And, to me at least, sometimes their lemon scents smell a little off and I don't like them.

This soap is terrific.  Using my coupons, I've stashed away enough bottles of Very Merry Meringue to last at least a year.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@gidgetghI love lemon scents too...does it smell like philosophy's lemon custard?Twisted peppermint is also a favourite of mine but I have so much soap right now that I might have to include it in my will.

@dex- i've never tried Lemon Custard, so I don't know, I'm sorry.

I too have gazillions of bottles of soap.  I have a bag full ready of unopened soaps to donate to our senior center tomorrow morning

Donating soap is a great idea....I always worry that it will go bad and be good for nothing.I am staying away from all soap isles while out shopping these days...not even a sniff will be tolerated.

@gidgetgh I agree that some of the lemon soaps do smell off. Thanks for the recommendation. Since I have quite a lot of bottles on hand, I will purchase one with some of the new candles so I can see if I like it. If I do, I will wait for the "yellow duck sale" which  starts immediately after Christmas and will then load up. Coupons can also be used during those semi-annual events.

Re: Bath & Body Works holiday hand soaps

B&BW is a favorite spot of mine, but the nearest one is in a mall and I just don't want to venture to one these days.

I buy my scented hand soaps at Tuesday Morning.  They have good brands for half the retail price.  Crabtree & Evelyn never fail and I lucked into a few last time I was there.  Their hand soaps are so fragrant w/o being cloying.

Granted, it's hit and miss, but I have always come away with lovely scented hand soaps.

My all-time favorite (signature) fragrance at B&BW was Vanilla Sugar.  It dried down to a soft, warm scent.  Unfortunately, the formula changed and I had to return the last trio of bath gel, body lotion, hand soap.  I wore it for years and received tons of compliments.  Woman Sad

Thanks @sueinsf. I have probably a 35 year supply of soap, LOL. Ok, not really, but I still have about 7 bottles from two Christmas' ago of a fragrance that I really like and I've really stocked up on this year's Merry Meringue soap. And I have a feeling I'll be buying more of that before it's all said and done.
