i have quite a few original eyeshadows which I still use and after trying other brands, I always go back!   Some that I have must be 10 years old or more.  Leslie used to say that they never expired...wonder if they are still ok to use.  I have no problems and there is no foul smell which some cosmetics do get.  How long would you use them for?  Wish they still sold the kits the way they used to.  I sure miss having Leslie at the helm!

I have some too. Mine also must be 10+ years old and I still use them with no problems.

Of course I have some Christian Dior eye shadow from the 80s that I still use on occasion, with no problems. :-)

I would say that the ones that have the shaker top would definitely still be good.  Although the others are more than likely still good too as long as you keep your brushes clean and no one else uses your products, I would assume they're still good.  I've seen Leslie say on her FB page that they're good forever.  Think I might have even heard Jessica say it too.

I still have some eye shadows that are in the open containers but most of mine are in the shaker ones now.  I'm sure mine are at least six to eight years old and I still use them.

I LIVE MY LIFE. I don't dwell on the criticisms of those who don't understand me.

Those were the days!! Now I'm not comfortable with the new owner of BE. Its not the same. Nothing ever is after the company is sold.

Re: Bare Minerals

[ Edited ]

The loose minerals didn't change formulas or ingredients although there are rumors they did. Jessica said they are the same five ingredients they started with decades ago. The new vendor Jessica is really great! Seems really nice. She's never loud, annoying   or speed talks through a presentation. I don't get why Leslie is missed so much, she was snobby.

I have BE eyeshadows I have had for many many years.  They are just pigments and they last  I still use mine and use them.

The Original foundation is still same formula

They are bringing out new products like every other cosmetic company.  Which you have to do to stay current and in business.  There skin resue, tinted moisturinzer is a big seller.

Now its all about the social media and you tube.  Where top Utubers aren't using BE.

So mineral makeup used to be  the big rave and now not so much.  It was eyebrows , then contour, now highlighters are every where people are glowing like disco balls  LOL

That being said BE sells really well and have great quality products and people really like the simplicity of minerals.  Because alot of people want  a more natural formulation in there products, no fillers or binders.  Ingredients that are good for your skin and BE has stayed true to what Lesie brought to usl

I'm still using 15-year-old shadows and blushes. You're safe. There's no expiration date, and if you see one, it's only because the FDA requires it.
